Kimberly Bay, LCSW

Therapist

WHAT TO EXPECT:

I like to create a “private coffee house” feel to my sessions, like we are just chatting over a cup of coffee and discussing whatever life issues are currently on your mind. I use a relational approach as my foundation to psychotherapy, which quickly helps most clients feel comfortable in working with me. I tend to be direct yet gentle and use curiosity to our therapeutic advantage. YOU are always the leader in this relationship; I will simply walk alongside offering support, insights, suggestions, and questions to ponder.

I may occasionally offer a gentle challenge if needed, but I always respect your perspective and decisions. I believe in the inherent worth of every individual and strive to provide a safe and supportive space for you to grow, heal, and thrive.

You are as likely to see me arrive to session in a warm, soft hoodie as you are to see me in more professional clothing, so dress comfortably! Genuineness is important in connecting with my clients, so why pretend I am always comfortable dressing up? In this increased “work-from-home” era, many folks are more casual in attire, and I welcome that in our sessions.

Elizabeth Hunter, MSW

Psychotherapist | Child & Adolescent Specialist | LGBTQIA+ Affirming

"I believe healing happens when we feel truly seen and heard."

Elizabeth Hunter is a psychotherapist with a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, where she also earned a Certificate in Interpersonal Violence and Trauma. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Stockton University, with a concentration in child development, victimology, and disability studies.

Elizabeth brings a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She understands the difficulty of shifting perspectives when you’re caught in the depths of your thoughts. Her passion lies in supporting those who often feel unseen—those who give so much to others, yet rarely feel they have someone to lean on themselves.

She has experience working with clients aged 4 to 40, including adolescents, children, and young adults. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, disordered eating, trauma, and stress-related concerns. Elizabeth has a special interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodiverse individuals, and she is deeply committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for all identities and experiences.

Elizabeth's therapeutic style is client-centered, compassionate, and empowering. She partners with clients to help them reconnect with their inner strengths, navigate overwhelming emotions, and find a path forward that aligns with their goals. She also integrates mindfulness strategies to support self-compassion and emotional regulation, recognizing how hard it can be to prioritize mental wellness in everyday life.

At the heart of Elizabeth’s work is a belief in the power of trust and communication. She prioritizes creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, set boundaries, and move at their own pace.

Outside the therapy room, Elizabeth enjoys time with her family, friends, and her many beloved pets. She’s a fan of fantasy novels, true crime, and cozy evenings watching her favorite shows—currently Criminal Minds and Heartstopper.
